For me Sunday mornings are all about lounging around and watching some tv before starting my day. Well, after seeing the latest interactive commercial from the Chicago Athletic Clubs I can assume that I’m not alone and this fitness organization knows it.
Using technology provided by cable provider Comcast, Chicago Athletic Clubs has a new flight of :30 commercials being shown on Sunday mornings (that’s when I’ve seen them) in which the audience can use their remote control to immediately request a coupon for free enrollment to any of their four facilities. I, or course, clicked my remote to see if this would work and a week later I got my offer letter.
Now, I’m already a member of the club in Evanston so some database cleansing is in order, but this is a great example of how Chicago Athletic Clubs is using new media technology to reach a targeted consumer. Maybe I could get a free personal training instead?
